The tour begins in the tourist vineyard, where we learn about different vine growing methods. From there we will continue to the archeological garden where we take a step back into ancient times and learn about early wine traditions and will view reconstructed agricultural devices that were used in olden times to produce wine, a wine press from the Byzantine era, and a Shomera, a building in which grapes were stored during the harvest period. We will then visit the winery’s production hall and become acquainted with the wine making process.
Our wine series commemorate significant places in the history of Gush Etzion. Throughout the tour we will present the wines and share meaningful stories and historical points behind them. We will end the tour with tasts from a selection of wines and experience an assortment of aromas and flavors that are exclusive to the grapes from the Gush Etzion hills.
The tours take place daily, by appointment only, Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The tour is around 45 minutes long and includes wine tastings (some visitors prefer to have the tastings as part of their meal).
The cost of the tour is 45 NIS per adult, and 20 NIS per child.
